Please read the following rules CAREFULLY. Anyone found breaking these rules will be warned, and if the infringement of the rules continues, you will be BANNED. This is for everyone's safety.
RULES
1. Safety- Please DO NOT post any personal information about yourself here or anywhere else on the internet. This includes your name, address, phone number.
2. Absolutely No Flaming- Flaming is defined as: An insulting criticism or remark meant to incite anger, as on a computer network. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Do not provoke other members with hurtful comments. We want to have a fun environment here to support our favorite show. Excessive flaming will result in IMMEDIATE suspension of your account.
3. Language- Proboards has strict regulations about language. I think this is pretty self explanatory. Anything worse than darn is usually not accepted.
4. No Spamming- Keep your posts within the right threads. Don't post stuff about Mariska in fanfiction, for example. Also, don't promote your website in the middle of a thread that has nothing to do with your site. (for ex. in the middle of the Casey thread) You can post links in your signature, and in the off-topic thread.
5. Please do not double post questions. Sometimes this does happen, but please check before you post. If later, you find another thread about the same topic, please let a moderator or administrator know so that one can be deleted.
6. Do not bash anyone- cast, crew, creators, producers, the network, or other members. It will not be tolerated.
7. E-mail- you must provide a valid e-mail during registration, but you may choose to hide it from the general public. It will not be used except for important notifications and an e-mail should you be banned.
8. Some boards have individual sets of rules. Read those too!
9. Don't register twice. If you register more than once, let a moderator know so that one account can be deleted.
10. Plagiarism is a huge no no. Not just here, but in the academic community as well, and almost anywhere else. Plagiarism is taking someone else's ideas, words, works, statistics, graphics, etc. without giving them credit. Presenting someone else's work as your own or paying someone to do it is also plagiarism. Even on this board. A simple "So-and-so's idea about ____ was great..." would be sufficient. Anyone found plagiarizing will receive an immediate suspension, and will be deleted as a member if it is a frequent habit.
You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only unhumorous, but legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum, and any related websites to this forum. We at this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you.
You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.
Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement. Your IP address is not available to members.
(These rules were obtained from the Special Victims Unit board.)
